Legend has it that, the little house was one of the granaries of the Perollo palace and it was there that, through a drainage pipe, Giacomo Perollo managed to escape and then hide in the house of one of his faithful servants. 

Unfortunately, Perollo was betrayed by a malefactor and met an inglorious death.
